New Standard Ventures was founded in 2017 with a commitment to investing in communities where individuals and families can thrive, connect with others, and engage in meaningful work.
We focus on opportunities that improve the quality, functionality and long-term relevance of housing and working environments, particularly in communities with strong fundamentals.

We approach investing with a long-term ownership perspective, guided by the view that real estate capital carries both economic and place-based responsibility. This perspective shapes how we evaluate opportunities, align with partners, and steward assets over time. We invest alongside experienced real estate operators in opportunities where thoughtful capital and execution can improve underutilized or outdated assets. Our focus includes multifamily housing, industrial, and adaptive reuse projects in markets supported by durable employment and demographic fundamentals. Our investments may include equity, preferred equity, and debt instruments.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Steve Andrade is the Founder and Managing Partner of New Standard Ventures. He is responsible for the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio oversight, with a focus on long-term value creation in commercial real estate.
Steve brings more than three decades of investment experience across multiple business cycles and asset types. His background includes executive leadership roles in technology, life sciences, and commercial real estate organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to mid-cap and small-cap businesses. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and the College of Pharmacy.
